really pretty and picturesque, is certainly worth a visit even during the day and preferably in good weather to enjoy the magical colors of the Gulf. Some travel tip ....
connections from Naples to Sorrento and back
COACHES . The easiest way is surely the bus line running just outside the airport and takes you directly to Sorrento
. Convenient, but be aware that the journey is full of bends and can be an adventure. Tickets can be purchased on board. Cost € 10 pp. one way.
HYDROFOIL . The most beautiful to reach Sorrento is definitely the sea, the only flaw is that the hydrofoil from Naples and then you should take a taxi into town and then we take the hydrofoil. Not is the fastest, but definitely the most beautiful (hopefully in good weather). Hydrofoil cost € 11 pp. one-way airport taxi + / Naples tot. € 19 (if you are at least two there will cost about € upside tot.20).
CIRCUMVESUVIANA . The most turistca circumvesuviana is that only part of Naples city (train station) but firm in all the major sights in the area, for example, if you want to make a stop in Pompeii (if you've never been there you way to go!), the train is perfect. Cost circumvesuviana NA Train / Sorrento € 3.3 pp. one-way airport taxi + / Naples tot. € 19 (if you are at least in 2 there is a cost-to-head in tot.13 € approx).
Things to Do in Sorrento
Well just enjoy the view, take a nice walk along the streets of downtown and enjoy the colors of the Gulf. Ideally, from the port and board walk to town, but it depends on how much wind you have (shoes!).
Eat
In the center there are lots of nice little places, many tourists, but all of excellent quality, just ask the locals and will give you good advice! If you are staying just before Sorrento or want to try a place a bit 'more relaxed and a bit' out (About 15 minutes walk from the center of Sorrento), I recommend the Moonlight (V. Raffaele Fiorentino, 3 - Sant'Agnello NA): restaurant, pizzeria and everything you want at prices more than affordable.
What
Memorable eat pizza, spaghetti with seafood, meatballs and eggplant fried bread (those fried balls that seem fritule and you'll find in all the sauces). For dessert do not miss the pastiera and, if you have enough space in the tummy, the Capri cake!
The best time: May / June and September
